Set the style, length and shape
Paste one of the style prompts below to lock the animation look. Then choose a duration of 4, 8 or 12 seconds, a resolution from 480p to 1080p, and an aspect ratio — 9:16 for Reels and TikTok, 16:9 for YouTube, 1:1 for a feed post. The credit price updates as you change these, so nothing is a surprise.

Turn photos into animation
The most common job here: you already have the image, you just want it to move. Upload a photo or an illustration, describe the motion you want — hair lifting in the wind, steam rising off a cup, a slow camera push past the subject — and the clip keeps your original frame as its first frame. Worth knowing up front: the panel takes stills, not existing footage, so if the shot you want to animate lives inside a video, export the frame first and start from that.

Prompts that ask for a sequence of events in four seconds come back muddled; prompts that ask for a single moment come back looking intentional.

Flat vector motion graphics are the cheapest way to fill the gaps in an explainer: one abstract shape animation per point, 480p while you're cutting the rough edit, then a re-run at 1080p on the clips that survive. Because each shot is generated separately, you can replace a single beat later without rebuilding the whole timeline.
Bring a drawing to life
Character sheets, sketchbook pages, a kid's drawing off the fridge — upload the scan and ask for movement that respects the original line work, like "the drawn character blinks and waves, paper texture and pencil lines preserved". Simple motion on a simple drawing lands far better than asking the AI to redraw the character into something polished.

Tips for Better AI Animation
One action per clip
Four seconds holds a single beat. "She turns and smiles" works; "she turns, smiles, walks to the window and opens it" gets compressed into a blur. If you need a sequence, generate the beats separately and cut them together.
Name the style, don't imply it
"Anime style, cel-shaded, hand-painted background" produces anime. "Make it look like a cartoon" produces something in between everything. The style clause is the most load-bearing part of an animation prompt, so write it explicitly and reuse the wording that worked.
Describe the camera separately
Split your prompt into what's in the frame, what moves inside it, and what the camera does. "Slow push-in", "locked-off", "handheld drift" each give very different results, and leaving the camera unspecified is how you end up with unwanted swooping.
Draft at 480p, finish at 1080p
A 4-second 480p clip is 10 credits; the same clip at 1080p is 44. Iterate on the prompt at the cheap setting until the motion is right, then change one dropdown and run the keeper once. Doing it the other way around is how people burn a credit pack on drafts.
Match the aspect ratio to where it's going
Pick 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Stories, 16:9 for YouTube and websites, 1:1 for feed posts. 21:9, 4:3 and 3:4 are there too. Choosing the right shape up front beats cropping later, because a crop throws away the part of the frame the AI spent its effort on.
Start photo animation from a sharp still
Image to video inherits everything about your source — a soft, compressed or badly lit photo produces a soft, compressed, badly lit animation. Upload the original file rather than a screenshot of it, and keep the subject unobstructed and roughly facing the camera.
Leave audio off unless you need it
The generated-audio switch roughly doubles the credit cost of a clip. For animation that's going under a voiceover or a music bed anyway, there's no reason to pay for it — generate silent and add sound in your editor.
Add titles and captions in an editor
Don't ask the model to render words in the frame. AI video models are unreliable at legible text, and letters that look fine in the first frame tend to warp as the clip moves. Generate clean animation, then lay type over it in whatever you edit with — it stays sharp and you can fix a typo without paying for another generation.
